The author's writing style is in third person and she covers many Points of View of other characters.
I've never really read a book in third person before, I'm not sure if I like it though because I'm used to "being" the main character as in reading in the point of view as the main character and seeing and feeling what she/he has seen and felt. But this book is a fairly good read. I still see and feel most of the things I would in the writing style I'm used to but it just feels a little detached to me. I kind of like the way that she writes in many other points of view ( POV ) but sometimes i get confused because I go from one character to the other practically every second chapter.

I think that there are many possibilities to what the end of the sequel will be but I will list a few of my theories. 1) Tom will find Alex just before the mine explodes and they'll both get out on time but the kid that was with Tom will be trapped and die. 2) that all of the "Changed" and their prisoners will survive the explosion, including Alex and Tom gets captured and is reunited with Alex. 3) Tom will be captured before he gets to escaped from the mine and all of them will survive the explosion. I never really predict what will happen in the end or the next one though. I find it pointless, you never know how the author will decide to write their story and saying authors are predictable is a big fib in my opinion.

I chose Channing Tatum as Tom because Channing has previous acting environments and of course because he is what I envision Tom to be like. I chose Kaidan Rowe as Chris because he seems dark, mysterious and secretive he is also what I picture when Alex describes Chris. I chose Emma Watson as Alex because of her previous acting environments and because I think she is a phenomenal actress she is what I envision Alex to look like. I chose Logan Lerman as Peter because when I think of Peter he seems to fit the part and also because of his previous acting environments. I chose Mia Hays as Ellie because she is exactly what I picture when Alex describes Ellie and she looks as if she could fill the part perfectly.

Some connections I have are twilight and hunger games. In a way, this book is very much like those two bestseller books. They're very similar because they all have two love interests, a war, an authority figure etc. This book is also similar to these books because in  Twilight, the vampires are against the volturi and Hunger games, with panem against the capitol. there's many similarities between these conflicts between the people and the authority that are building up into a war which is the same with  the mass amount of people against Rule. They're also similar because the authority figures are taking advantage of their authority, antagonizing their people or making bad decisions.

Five songs that seem to relate to my novel are  monster by skillet, radioactive by imagine dragons, fire fire by flyleaf, okay by flyleaf, and dirty little secret all American rejects. I chose monster by Skillet because Alex calls the tumor in her brain "the monster" and i think that this song relates perfectly to that. I also chose radioactive by imagine dragons because I think it relates to when the E.M.Ps are thrown into the atmosphere and the end of the world happens because the song i feel, just fits in to that situation perfectly. I chose fire fire by flyleaf because I think that it suits rule's council and how she feels after visiting them. I also chose okay by flyleaf because that's how Alex feels in Rule because she isn't out fighting but she's safe and she feels that she has little chance of escaping and finding tom.Last but not least I chose dirty little secrets by all American

rejects because it seems like tom and rule have some dirty little secrets.

I would like to be friends with Tom because he seems very loyal and trustworthy. Tom is a soldier and I think I would be most comfortable with this character as my friend because my father is a soldier and I feel that they're one of the most trustworthy group of individuals in the world because they devote their lives everyday to keeping our country safe and free. Tom faces many challenges but never lets someone silence him when he speaks his mind, he is wise. Tom hasn't changed like the other kids, so he knows what's going on and who has brought the world to an end. He was the first one in the book to predict the cause of the chaos, E.M.Ps. This character seems  like the best one to be friends with because he knows what he's doing.

An emotion that I felt while reading this book was very, very curious. This book brings out the extreme curiosity in me. I find this book extremely factual and find myself learning a thing or two from it. I think this book makes me extremely curious because it is a sort of realistic take on the apocalypse but at the same time the author still manages to keep it fictional. I believe that there is a pretty good possibility, if the apocalypse were to happen that this book would explain the bulk of the situation.

' Getting to know Chris would be like Tom putting a face on the enemy target.' This passage appealed to me because it is very true, it reminds of when people find a stray animal and they say: ' Don't give it a name or you'll get to attached' but you know what? People always end up giving the stray a name and get attached and then boom they have a new pet. The almost exact same thing happens to Alex when she tears her gaze away from Chris and feels Tom leaving her. I chose to write about this passage because it reminded me of a lot of significant things that happen in my life and in others lives.
